My client is a highly regarded international law firm with a well-respected Manchester offering. They are seeking an ambitious Banking solicitor across the NQ to 2 year PQE level to join their highly regarded and award winning Banking team.
The Banking team is headed by a highly respected partner with an excellent reputation in the region who possesses an equally impressive client base. The Banking team possesses expertise across a wide array of practice areas such as Corporate Finance, Real Estate Finance, Private Equity, Acquisition Finance, Restructuring and general Corporate lending. The team's client base ranges from major UK banks, large corporates to SME's across a variety of sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Banking solicitor looking to develop their career and gain excellent experience in a dynamic, vibrant and collegiate environment at an international law firm. There is a need with someone to come in and focus on broad Corporate banking matters where they will be involved in providing advice to businesses or financial institutions on general corporate banking matters whilst working closely with the rest of the team on more complex matters.
What makes this role particularly attractive is the opportunity to get involved in high quality banking work whilst having the opportunity to be involved in business development activities from the offset. The environment is a collegiate and supportive one which makes it ideal for a junior solicitor to further develop their skillset. There are excellent progression prospects here; there is no ‘large law firm' bureaucracy which distinguishes this firm over its competitors. Solicitors that have shown the acumen have progressed onto associateship in a relatively period space of time.
The ideal candidate
• be NQ-2 years' PQE in Banking law which may have been gained within a city firm or a highly regarded national or regional firm;
• seeks a move into a genuine path to career progression in a collegiate working environment;
• is able to demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and professional approach with the exposure to face-to-face client interactions; and
• is able to share the firm's ethos of providing exceptional client care, with a commitment to commercial thinking.
